I am helping with the flowers for my friend Yen's late-December wedding, and today's trip to a wholesale flower warehouse in Silver Spring was a smashing success. I thought our heads would explode when we walked into the vast cooler room and saw all the amazing flowers they had. Our minds reeling with options and possibilities, we zeroed in on the jade orchids, Yen's fist choice and the perfect color for her wedding palette of cream, green, and chocolate. We bought some test flowers to do a sample arrangement and bouquet, and to try out some boutonniere and corsage looks. We're excited that it looks like she will be able to have the amazing flowers she wanted on quite a reasonable a budget (under $500, everything included!). They even had the enormous cylindar vases we will need for the orchid arrangements, at a great price. Yipppeeee!!!
